@okebaram Okebaram you are so right thats why alot folks are so shock when Whitney Houston does it and say she does it by a mistake but it is very free when she hits a whistle note and its crazy high. Its very natural like not trying, if she practiced she could do anything she felt like it but whistle register comes natural to her. Chystal Rucker too probably!

Yep Chrystal Rucker naturally has a whistle register type of voice. Along with sopranos like Whitney etc. Sopranos that sing in head voice well easily can access whistle register, real easily.

@okebaram Did you see that video when she sung Somewhere over the Rainbow? Now that was just unreal, did you hear how perfect her range was on that? She was hitting all kinds of notes, and she belts it out with not much effort. Her range is just sick, I remember hearing her live and mayne, that woman is anointed, not only can she sing but she has a amazing testimony.

@bowiehs It is hard to say how high Chrystal can go if she actually pushed to her highest on a good day, but she would probably sound shrill above C#6. She hit D6 on a video where she sings for every mountain (not the popular one). But she has a strong "voice ceiling" (my terminology) and it is around D6 which means going higher than C#6 would be relatively difficult and maybe only doable sometimes. My guess: on-the-spot highest belt = C#6, but she can belt up to a quick, shrill Eb6 if she had 2

@kmaur21 Virtually ANYBODY can have a whistle register with practice/training. I naturally have a very narrow range but after LOTS of practice I can get into whistle register. Voice type decides how easy, flexible, natural, strong... the whistle register is. Some never even need to find their whistle, it comes natural, free and easy. But voice type is more than "soprano or alto" & I don't think Karen or Lashun have (strong) whistle registers, but Chrystal would have good whistle if she practiced

@kmaur21 Mariah is okay but she got nothing on Karen, Lashun or Crystal. Not only are they anointed, but they can singing longer and better.

@bowiehs She did in a clip but some did it real quick in a run. In some clip on here. Most true sopranos can hit whistle notes if they want. Karen, Whitney, Chrystal, Lecresia all them sopranos have whistle register but there showy with it like Mariah. Believe or not Mariah an alto but has whistle register, but sopranos mostly have it. I never heard Lashun do it, but I bet she can!
