Hello the JVC is a "pro" camera it has far superior facilities and record quality I.E.
XlR mic inputs. 35 mbs video recording and lots more.If you don't want those things thats fine but you can't put the HG 10 in the same league as the JVC
Can someone explain to me what the difference is between a camera like this and the Canon hg10 (an hd camera, but a lot less cheaper). This makes editing easier, but how is this better quality wise?
Just bought this JVC HM100U camcorder, Ill have it by Tuesday. Pwnage.

I think this camera can record to 2 formats - MOV files for Final Cut Pro and MP4 files to other NLE editing softwares.

i always wondered...
they always say it's easier to edit in final cut pro...
would it be problem working in after effects?
i already can edit .mov files in after effects but does this camera's format needs extra codecs or decoding?

Looks a nice little camera. I still have my sony F-X1 wich it has HQ image in HD and it`s very good in low light.

Haha, not quite, everytime anything moving came near the stand a number of reps suddenly appeared as if from no-where. It was spooky :)
