Socialist medicine will fail in this country as other similar programs. I would die had it not been for the pharmaceutical companies and diligent researchers at DFCI, the US Gov't would have failed me because none of my chemo is allowed by any gov't run healthcare system.

First you tie cancer survivability to universal healthcare, there is no evidence to support this, in fact my clinical trial chemo is not available from any 'industrialized nation' healthcare system you support. Your childhood issues with Mom being sick have nothing to do with universal healthcare.
