  • How did you get the tabs on the heat shield off?? Grind them, cut them, hacksaw?? Your video doesn't say.

    Thx in advance

  • @MrBrownbear46 You do not have to take them off. Simply bend them straight add the rail and then bend them back into place once you have the new rail in place.

  • I have the vz 58 sporter verison with the folding stock. I can't remove the screw can you tell me how and what I need to remove it? thank you.

  • @purifieddragon Please email me a photo to info@zahal.org

  • How much for the aluminum hand guard? I didn't see it on the site. I don't know if I want to remove the tabs on the heat shield, I may want to use my old hand guard again!

  • @wayne424 Click on the link in the description above and go to the VZ-58 handguard section

  • Explained it well, but its not as easy as you made it look. Thanks tho

  • I finally got it all installed. I did have to trim some plastic on the upper forearm for the heat shield to fit and then on 2 of the tabs to get the heat shield pin to slide back in.

I also had to grind a small portion off the shock absorber plastic to get the buttstock to slide

on so the 6 position pin would clear the inside to fit in the holes but it all works now and is

installed. I REALLY like it. It's not as easy to put all this stuff on as the video implies due to

    the oversized plastic.

  • Also, the 6 position buttstock is too tight to slide on the shock absorber and click into place. It looks like there's residual plastic on the female buttstock end "inside" that I can't get to to sand it off, blocking it so it won't slide in enough for it to click into the holes. This thing is way out of spec or the residual plastic is blocking it. My only alternative is to grind the male end on the shock abosorber to make it fit. That shouldn't have to happen. I am NOT a happy customer.

  • OK, I figured out the shock absorber, but you really should have instructions or shown it on the movie. It took me a few minutes to figure out the allen wrench goes in at an angle and the hole was blocked with some residual plastic but once I punched thru that, got er done. NOW tho, the heat shield plastic channel in the front is WAY out of spec for the heat shield to just slide in there. There's no way that heat shield will go in that front channel for its WAY too tight. Any suggestions?

  • OK, I got my parts but you don't show how to put the shock absorbing buttstock on. I am totally confused as to how to put this thing on. The allen head screw on the shock absorber is totally inaccessible. I can see the threaded end it but how do you get to the allen head to tighten in on the rifle. This movie should show this but it don't. Am I just blind or is there something I'm missing here???

    Thanks

    Dennis
