@chadloflin20 You got that right Chad. I think racing at tracks like North Wilkeboro are as excing or more exciting than these modern track that only have speed as there catch. Driving at North Wilkesboro was a thinking drivers track-very exciting for the fans. Bill ----Jr., there more than putting the peddle to the metal in real racing. What ever happen to the skill of the driver??

The good 'ol boys racing around Wilkesboro. Now this was when NASCAR was at it's peak. Brian France this is the basics of racing.

Gone are most of the good tracks except for Bristol, Martinsville, Richmond, and Darlington. Now what he have are these stupid cookie cutter tracks.

Thanks for posting this footage!! 1986 was the year I started watching NASCAR racing. This brings back a lot of memories. I miss North Wilkesboro!! Come on NASCAR...build more short tracks!!! This is REAL racing!! And wow...18,000 seats!!! :)
