Good news! Madventures deserves more than my shitty translations! :) I'll try my best to translate the latest newsletter to English:
Madventures Newsletter // October 2008
Alhamdulillah,
Madventures welcomes you dear travelling folk, friends and comerads!
Today we only have one news item:
THE THIRD MADVENTURES MAKES FINNISH TELEVISION HISTORY!
When ten new 30 minute long Madventures episodes slams to your TV screen on SubTV this spring 2009 we are also making Finnish tv-history. Madventures will be aired not only on Finland but also on worlds leading travelling channel, Travel Channel at United States.
This is the first time when Finnish TV show is planned to be aired before production with American channel. Channel Five's digichannel Fiver at UK has also decided to air the third season of Madventures with SubTv and Travel Channel in the year 2009.
It is about time for the Madventures to educate angloamericas barbarian nations with the glorious sounds of independent travelling!
Premiere on Subtv will be at the end of March 2009, for others the premiere hasn't been decided yet.
For the friends of the show its good to tell about the background in debth. We have planned this season already for two years.
It all started when Northwestern powerdouble, The Dudesons Jarno and Jukka showed Madventures for their own contacts around the world. Original finnish travelshow rising from underground got attention at the first glance. Several US and UK channel started to call us...
With Tunna we didn't think they would have balls for it by long run. Negotiations were long for behind sea groups had troubles to understand how two man crew can manage such an project. We had to armwrestle with lawyers, agents, insurances and with phonebook sized pile of contract drafts. The experience of the Dudesons crew was a big help for us... They did have the balls in the end: At the moment we are in a situation that Travel and Fiver have have agreed with Sub to show the third season of Madventures.
Last year we did the "Kasainvälisen seikkailijan opas" guidebook (Guidebook for the international explorer) and our first movie Monte Rosso and we started planning the follow-up of Madventures. We noted that, if there's a new season, Madventures shouldn't be quite the same as it was before - with every season the show has brought something new for television, we are planning to do the same thing this time.
When the international version finally was confirmed we were amazed but at the same time very proud for the whole crew. Now we're going to make even better Madventures season and travel to even wearder destenations!
What will the show be like then? The destenations will be kept secret for now as before... We can give away that much that ex-soviet areas, middle-east and other bits atleast from Africa, South-America and Asea will be covered. Anyway, we will be bringing up best features of Madventures one and two but we will not be repeating ourselves. So the third season will be all new and the adventure continues!
Language change from Finnish to third local language was rather painless operation because broken english works everywhere. We are trying to add Madventures attitude to our postmodern nadsat-english which is liked by many of our viewers (and hated by others). Gamahauloma mama, zast ö swiit dzänörana!
Our biggest worry is possible sensourship of the overseas (and Finnish) channels of our show that could at worst case cenario ruin everything that Madventures is about. We try to row our boat through it with our open-minded, brave and new style that has made foreingers interested of our show in the first place. For us Finnish viewers its good to know that SubTV stays with it's liberal line as always: In Finland you will still see 100% uncencored version without a doubt... We also promase to give you Finnish extra clip(s) on the road when we manage and have time.
For you travelers, beginners and friends of the show we give our thanks and honour! Your activity is one of the parts that gained the attention around the world. Our clips have been translated to other languages, sent to others and just talked about. We hope that our newest season will gain your interest and activate you! When we start getting more and more material during this winter shall we start leaking some material for others to preview the material and to give prases - shall we co-operate with Strandet.to and other internet communities.
We must go now to roads shown by Burroughs's and Ginsberg's connencpondence....
Best wishes to the travels in and outside of your heads, may dogs bone our enemies!

Ah yes. That's the third season. In the previous two seasons they mainly spoke Finnish. Considre investing on the 2nd season DVDs at their official website. I'd say that season is a bit better than the third season.
First season DVDs however doesn't have subtitles. Glad you like it, and Im sure you aren't alone. Let people know about the show and we may see more in the future. :)
