a lot of people use feet and inches and pounds and ounces in the UK, even though we were supposed to be changed to metric about 40 years ago. For example height usually measured in feet and inches, babies are weighed in pounds and ounces when they are born and we use miles for distance on roads. Just shows how stubborn people are to be still using an outdated system 40 years after it was supposed to be stopped
