Mary shows how to turn flax into usable fiber for weaving. This flax was grown at Mera so the weavers could learn how to work with it.

  • This is so cool

  • All I have to get is a plot of land to grow my flax, a scutching board, a hackle, a spinner, and I can make my own linens for free.

Times were way more challenging back then.

I have to remember this the next time I buy linen sheets.

    Very interesting video.

  • All over the world people want to use only natural and environmentally friendly materials like linen and cotton!

  • AMAZING!THX FOR SHARING

  • very interesting video. It's nice you have the opportunity to learn these things at fairs like this. Will you be trying this, too? If so - we want to see videos, of course!

  • Very interesting! Love the fabrics that she shows, too. Great heirlooms.
