Tanec Kukacek (Dance of the Cuckoos) R. A. Dvorsky a jeho Melody Boys, Praha (Prague), Czechoslowakia, ca 1930.

The Laurel and Hardy Theme Tune preformed by the Czechoslowakian band leader R. A. Dvorsky ( 1899-1966) and His Melody Boys. A very popular orchestra in Prague during 1930'ies.

  • Hey this is good!

  • The label mention the Laurel and Hardy film "Fra Diavolo" (also know as "The Devil's Brother") so this recording was probably done no earlier than 1933. Unless, of course, it was a rerelease of an earlier recording. Either way, thanks for sharing it!

  • Thank you, I wonder who played the version in the 1936 reissue of Berth Marks (1929) I also have heard that version on a CD of famous comedians but the band name was not listed...:(

  • Thank you from a big Laurel and Hardy fan :-)
