The sheriffs called the meeting to inform the citizens of their willingness to defend their property rights against the EPA and the Calif. DFG. I realize you are only on Karen's link. I do own land. But my sense of self and worth has nothing to do with owning anything. We call them "God given rights" - would God lay down a property owning rule before he allows us to have rights? That's not something a loving God would do.

There are things which are much more real than your property.

According to this lady, you only have rights if you own private property. I guess the rest of us are supposed to be wage slaves to owners. So that's what Bush meant by the "ownership society!"

100% of Americans own the public lands together; we are all property owners!

Her comment about the Feds rebranding to a Family concept is actually their goal. How many families do you know that all members have an equal say? Most are run as dictatorships or oligarchies. I refuse to use the description of Democracy as our country was never intended to be one but a Republic instead.

A family cannot be a Republic and should not be a democracy.
