Arguing with someone else's memory is very difficult, but it most definitely wasn't in the film. The reason everyone remembers it was becasue it was a very famous and creepy commercial for the movie that got a lot of airplay. I remember seeing the film in the theater and being pissed that scene wasn't included. There is actually a big discussion about this very topic on the imdb board for this film.
Funny that the "faked' film has withstood microscopic digital scrutiny and still no one can prove its a costume..because its real. Just my opinion..everyone is entitled to theirs but if you have seen one of these creatures its no longer a question of belief.
Wrong on all counts. It isn't real...it's a man in a bad fur suit. You can't "prove" it's faek either anymore than could they "prove" that the Cottingley Fairy Photos were fake,
I have seen the parts used to build "Patty" in 1967. It's a suit from Hollywood....and a BAD one at that.
You see, the movie above was originally Roger's film. Yes, not a documentary but a Hollywood MOVIE. Bob Gimlin played the Indian tracker, and Bob H., the man who wore the suit, played one of the cowboy trackers. Roger, who was a knwon bigfoot hoaxer and conman, failed to get further funding for his film. Now ask yourself: would you not need a bigfoot suit for a bigfoot movie? I think you should look at the PGF with a more skeptical view.....
well whatever he got the patterson film into this documentary too so whatever his intentions were he got his ideas out . time to leave it be dude. hoax or real . its been debated to its death

After failing to get further funding he faked the PGF instead. Go figure.
