  • They're effectively using the rock-step as the beginning of each move and showing it twice to show the beginning and end of the move, or rather, the beginning of the next move.

  • Not sure why you're doing 2 rock steps per pattern -- that's confusing to learners. Also, referring to "single rhythm" as "single step" would be confusing to some learners since there are obviously 4 steps in each pattern (or 6 if you're doing 2 rock steps for some odd reason).
