Thanks for posting! I've never seen this and I love it! The concept IS beautiful along with the music and costumes. I wonder why it was so difficult for them to skate this cleanly...and it's too bad. It was better than Love Story by quite a bit in my opinion. Sarah Hughes also used this music at in Salt Lake City and look at what it did for her! ;)

Its obvious they struggle with difficult pieces of music like that that`s why they went back to easier love story.

as mch as i like this program... the choreography is much the same as their tristan and isolde program from the year before. the elements are placed in the EXACT same places, the footwork is essentially the same (minus a few foot placements).

I have bad memories of orchid (name of part of town I once lived). But this program is so beautiful, it makes me forget the negative orchid memories of my life. It's one of those programs that draws you in and makes you forget everything else around you. When the performance is over, you wake up and come back in the real world which seems a less nasty place then.

Sarah did NOT use this music in SLC. She removed it from her LP and replaced it with more music from Daphnis and Chloe.

I agree it was a better program than Love Story. I'm sorry that I never got to see a clean performance of Orchid.

Gosh, I remember I was there in Kitchener for the GPF that year...I also remember being mesmerized by this performance in rehearsals. They absolutely nailed it in the afternoon; but it wasn't quite there during the competition, which is a shame. I'd always wished they'd kept it for their Olympic performance, but I understand why they went with Love Story. Still, this is my favorite competitive long program of theirs. I'm happy I was able to see them skate it cleanly at least once.
