Nicely explained. You have convinced me to purchase this fine, interesting product.

ok, one question: the game starts on an emty hexagon, and the players start placing marbels on the board.... Is that correct?

I feel silly for asking but i really do want to get this game. The only thing im confused is. can you drop and then jump a marble? or is dropping a marble (even if its next to another marble) still considered one action? cause i figure if i do that then my opponent will simply take the marble. sorry if thats confusing thanks for the help and great vid!

Good stuff, it would be nice if you had included some tips on strategy as well as just how to play.

Thanks Mark! Can you post videos on the other GIPF series games, too? I'm trying to decide which ones to buy and would love to see how the others work. I have Yinsh but none of the others.

Your win conditions are for the fast play variant - for a full game it should be 4 white, 5 grey, 6 black, or 3 of each, at least according to the manual.

Very nice tutorial - clear, funny and well prepared. Very good video edition. The colors would be better if there were more light in the room ;).
Thanks very much!
Hello! You are not allowed to drop a marble then capture. It's an either/or situation. And if a capture/jump is available, then you MUST take it. If there is no capture available, then you may place a marble. If you place a marble next to another one, you are simply setting up a possible capture for your opponent, since your turn will end after you place the marble (and then remove a tile).

I think it depends what version you have. I have the version produced by Rio Grande Games, and what you call the 'fast play variant' is listed as the default win conditions in my manual. The win conditions that you list are listed as "Tournament Rules" in the back of my manual.
