Albert must of had a crap childhood, no wonder he got in to drugs, must be hard to forget being abondoned and having to live ruff from the age of nine to eleven. Can't expect it to go away, just like that.

@Rowan07001484 Actually it was from eight to ten or so. He was 10 when Charles took him in and about to turn 11 when the supposedly real father tried to claim him back & at that point Charles said he'd been living with them for a year. But yeah, I'd think that horrible memories from a city life would pull him down after many great years in a small town. Especially as the city probably affected the family life crucially.

@SpockLover27 The actress(es) were Jennifer and Michelle Steffin. There is a Wikipedia entry for them and an IMDb entry for Jennifer - haven't been able to find anything on the parents though.

@SpockLover27 In real life, Rose Wilder Lane is Laura and Almanzo Wilder's daughter. She grew up to be an author just like her mother and passed away in 1968 at the age of 81.
