Making a (good) Minecraft cannon

NOTE: Since people can't read, this cannon was made before the advent of redstone repeaters. Back in the day before we had those fancy contraptions, this is how you had to do it. For it's time, it was a great cannon. It's now a piece of crap that doesn't work without modification. I see no reason to update the video, because other people have done it better. I'm only leaving the video up for archival purposes. Compare this cannon to a "modern" one and you'll see how much redstone circuitry has come along. Better yet, install a mod like Redpower2 and marvel at just how much further it has to go.

Note: This cannon does NOT work anymore, because TNT now requires an ignition source, redstone or fire, to light. Therefore, the boosters will still fire, but the ammo won't without modification.

for the people who say to use a repeater here is some information. It takes 1/10 of a second longer to conduct the power and it's less expensive so doing this makes more sense even today in minecraft.
