@theawakener7 sorry, wasn't meant as an egotistical chuckle.... Aikido is not the only training I undertake or have studied in the past so am not here to compare martial arts to each other. I just see where it's application can be relevant to a situation. Doesn't make it any less ( or more ) than any other discipline. Dead right, branches come from the trunk that is firmly rooted.
@theawakener7 : your comment made me smile and have a good chuckle... but somehow I think that you may have missed something here.
The fact that they are 'working' together appears to give it a somewhat soft ( roly-poly / namby-pamby) appearance BUT be warned if you choose NOT to 'work' with it as it tends to leads to some serious pain.
All martial arts have validity, it's how it is applied that determines the outcome.
this is probably the best demonstration of Aikido I've ever seen. almost everyone of them was complete shit, but this guy makes it look Super bad ass!!! thanks to this guy I believe in Aikido again.
I have seen a shit load of Aikido teachers and masters. This guy is fantastic and very acurate. If I was in a fight I'd want him on my side over Seagal....well maybe not but this guy is the REAL DEAL. I wish more Sensei can have this kind of knowledge and speed. I see way too many slow breathers out there teaching, I try and stay away from them.
thx a lot for your posting, learn a lot from Seki shihan's video. His power can penetrate from his opponent's arm to his head. So powerful and reasonable Aikido it is. Great job
