The Video: Hydrofoil adventure video. Harry Larsen has a new electronic height control system for the front foil of Talaria IV. Ray is dreaming about hydrofoils when Harry phones. • @spscorse It would work very well in smooth water. However at high speeds above 60 kts you have the problem of supercavitation and the foils lose lift. The foils need to be a different design - then there is the issue of hitting stuff at higher speeds - but for lowering power to get speeds up to 50kts, foils are the way to go - also great fuel savings too.

  • @spscorse they tried... it was outlawed for some reason

  • You should take this technology and put it in a race boat and if you win a race everyone would want one.

  • i thought the no wake zone was for safety too. i'm sure your fellow mariners love you haulin ass in the no wake zone. i guess u own the lake so u can do as u please. forget safety. live and learn. out
