The bells of St Michaels, Cornhill, EC3, London, are to be replaced with a completely new ring of 12 by John Taylor Bellfounders of Loughborough. Here is the casting of the new tenor on the 17th February 2011, which will be approx 32cwt.

Here is a page describing the current installation http://london.lovesguide.com/michael_cornhill.htm

Thank you for recording and posting this.

  • My dad Ernier Rowe hung the Whitechapel peal, around 1960 I must admit they were sounded like a bunch of old pots partly due to the fact they were cast to match some of the older bells . I now live in Aus and I hope to God the old peal do not find there way here. I think they should be broken up . Just my opinion.

The old man would turn in his grave to know they went to Taylors though
