first of all its a huge misconception that Muslims are allowed to beat their wives if they disobey them.If you read the Quran they are only allowed to do so if they are not faithful to their husbands and even then they are not allowed to hit in a way that hurts or leaves a mark.Its symbolic.Plus the thing is one must keep aside the religious differences while supporting the cause of truth. I recently wrote to Queen Rania and told her that I consider he to be Jordan's Gift to the world, and I truly believe that. She is smart, and is very supportive of the 1Goal program to bring education to those who don't currently get the opportunity to attend schooling of any kind. Her little one's cute too. :)
