@TRUMPER007 Well he wanted to swing the hitler youth training into the Army.. He was at a point liked by hitler/goebels well. And he himself it is known now served Hitler while trying to maintin cvility on the battlefield. Rommel quoted "I loved the Fuhrer and I love him still. I am innocent of any involvement in the assassination attempt,' he said.
"I served my Fatherland to the best of my ability and would do so again."
The wehrmacht also glady welcome the National socialist party

why do we have to risk the lives of living soldiers to bring back dead carcases ? If I was a soldier I would tell everyone to just leave me where I am if I'm dead and not to risk their lives to bring back my dead body. my soul is already gone and it makes no difference to me where my bones are left.. Not worth the risk, why don't we change our policy? Besides getting a casket and that burial process is a rip-off, scam! $15K to put a body in the ground, hell just toss me into the ocean waves

@TRUMPER007 Actually your wrong, He was a nazi member before hitler even got to power.
-
erwin rommel was not a nazi he is the most aspring one in desert warfare even today's militery strategies when some one talk about desert warfare name of field marshal rommel is a legend
-
Actually they didn't. The greatest soliders of all time would have to be the Roman Imperial Army. Look it up. We STILL are using tactics from 2000+ years ago.
-
simplistic, why couldn't be one Nazi by being Fieldmarshall ?
-
Hey boys, stop talking there's a war going on !
-
SS troopers = When hitler was on lead.
The great Germany soldiers = At preuss times, before Hitler.
-
please dont mix SS with German Army, German Army had greatest soldier in history

Well I liked it! It was challenging and confronting to deal with the cowardice of the soldiers concerned, including the one who returned. I didnt think the minor innacuracies detracted at all, and the powerful and heroic military music was a great contrast to what these guys were actually doing. The shooting scene was quite realistic too.
For one thing Rommel was not a Nazi - he was a German Field-Marshal.
