Actually it took a bit longer than that to build!
The song is from a Peter Green tribute CD. The title is 'Lookin' for Somebody' and its played by Snowy White - a great LP player!

  • I just fucking love the paint job you did there

  • @darkmysterii Thanks - after almost four years of regular replaying it looks a little bit less shiny than it did when new - still great to play though!

  • WTF?!?! that's soo fuckin awsome man!

  • @TheGuitarraper Thanks - I like it and it gets played a lot ;)

  • Nice guitar and interesting video. You should have narrated it though instead of playing song, it would have been ten times better. You should then have finished it off by showing the guitar in action. I made a few solid electrics years ago in my 20s, don't have them now did it all by hand no machinery, so it wuld have been nice to here you explaining each procedure. Great looking guitar though.

  • @daviegarden Thanks for the comment. I guess this was one of my very first YouTube video attempts so I won't claim any great expertise at voiceover, etc. I could probably do better now and I keep meaning to put up a clip of the thing in action. I'm not a decent guitar player but I sure do have fun with it - gets a workout most days!

  • @lilticklez Thanks for the compliment but Gibson have nothing to worry about. I made this for myself and enjoy playing it most days. Anyway, Epiphone have that 'real fake Gibson' thing kinda covered :)

  • Fair play mate!

  • I started making them because I couldn't afford a real one years ago, they were not as good looking as yours though. I made one in the shape of the Iron Cross guitar that Ian Hunter in Mott The Hoople played, it was a 12 string and I inadvertantly made it so big I couldn't get a case to fit it, playing it was really difficult and eventually dismantled it. You should post pics of the guitars you've made. I prefer just to buy them now, it's a lot easier.lol

  • @HackerGuitarist Thank you for your comment. I assume you mean that I was implying something as opposed to employing something. This was never my intention so I hope the amended title is satisfactory.
