@hingamp certain parts of peckham are shitholes but others arent too bad my friend lives in peckham and where he lives is better than rye lane. the areas where peckham is a shithole is around the area is peckham rye station, where do you live in peckham?

@legoindyrules well, that's up to you. I know people who come from Islington to come in one of the best indian restaurant of the capital Ganapati. Anderson Deli, coffee and chocolate shop "The melange", artists studio, independant fashion shops, victorian pubs, great club (CLF), parks. Isn't that what a good area is all about?
Of course if you think Rye Lane is Peckham, then obviously you don't know much.

Peckham is one word; DISGUSTING! it reminds me of tatooine from star wars lol. The butchers i worked in for a day, St Altibians (i think it was called) had yellowish meat with hair and a red bull can in one crate, the people there sold it to unsuspecting customers, smiling and making small talk all the while. Packaging it in small trays out front, neatly looking for 75p each, yum.
And the smell of peckham...
Lets hope one day peckham disappears.
