  • I think she's the most important artist working today.

Is it really necessary, tho, to get so in her face with the camera while she's singing?

  • We agree, she's a very important artist!

About your camera comment, we're just trying to show intimacy and emotion. Sorry if that creeped you out.

  • Every once in awhile the human voice can bring a lump in your throat, stop you in your tracks and communicate to you in such an intimate way that time stands still, this lady and this song instantly hit my sweet spot and i knew i had to buy this, thankfully my heart ruling my head for once proved to be a wise move as the rest of the album is also thought provoking and beautiful, this lady is as others have already said very special .

  • Love the sound! Enjoyed you very much!!

  • Couldn't help thinking of this song while watching the Chilean miner's rescue. Saw Diana Jones perform this a couple of years ago in a warm up gig before appearing at Celtic Connections. Chilled me then. chills me now.

  • Amazing voice.

  • As much as I like Joan Baez' version of this song,I much prefer Diana's own original version as she puts such heart and soul into it. I suspect she does a heartrending version as she was asked to write a song about the mining disaster and read Henry Russell's words which gave her the inspiration for the song. I cannot praise Diana up enough and if you haven't yet seen her perform I urge you to do so at the earliest opportunity. She is an engaging person and very friendly and easy to talk to.

  • not to worry, didn't creep me out, just thought it might be distracting for her.

in any event, thanks so much for posting this, and if you talk to her again, get her to come out to SF!

  • outstanding, very moving
