However, the U.S.'s human rights failures (as judged by the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights - lest you claim human rights also depends on perspective) are small when compared to Iran's.

Nine countries currently have nukes - including Israel which never signed the NNPT (North Korea did, but they resigned in '03). Yet, no nuclear attacks - even with India and Pakistan who hate each other. Most intelligence agencies estimated that ran will have nuclear weapon by 2011, so you're claim about being "too ignorant to make bombs" is way off-base.
