Here is my 6 year old daughter and 3 year old son, having their first rides on our family horse, Nozer.. who also happens to be a stallion (only because he's so well behaved I haven't had a reason to geld him....). He is simply amazing! No I am not crazy, I have owned 5 or 6 stallions before, all of whom I would never have let my kids near. I am not insane, I promise!

He is coming 6 years old and 14.3 hands. He is registered with the MFTHBA. He has bred mares before and has babies on the ground, and he is available for stud service next spring.

He's that perfect blend of sensitivity with a good, mellow mind (not a deadhead.... but totally safe and reliable).

I am a forever loyal customer of Rex Anderson at http://www.andersonfoxtrotters.com - I own two horses and both are from him. This stallion been worked with very little in his life according to normal standards. However, my experience with the horses my friends and I have bought from Rex shows that his horses have wonderful minds naturally. Training these horses isn't a matter of convincing them to behave.. but just teaching them what to do. I am not a professional horse trainer.

Here is a video of my other horse, Nozer's young nephew (from Rex):

and here is a video of my first Rex horse, Dillon, Nozer's half brother:

Here is a video of Nozer a couple days after I brought him home from buying him:

This video was taken without a warm up, just pulled Nozer out of his stall. We hadn't done anything with him for 4 days prior to this. And to top things off, there is a mareish mare just across the isle way from the round pen. (granted this is taken in November...) I bought Nozer 9 months ago.. 8 of which he had off, as I was pregnant. I rode him 5 days in a row after buying him, gave him 8 months off, and then I've ridden him 5 times in the last few weeks (my baby is 5 weeks old now). Prior to my buying him, he wasn't formally trained nor ridden more than a few times in his life. This was the first time I've put my kids on Nozer.

I lost my nerve with horse riding a couple years ago, badly. It was a horse I bought from Rex (Nozer's half brother, Dillon) which helped me regain my nerve. I have since bought two more from Rex, and they are not only bringing back the nerve I had before.. but making me feel like a kid again! I have ridden Nozer on the trails 4 times. He is always very controlable, and reliable and obedient. He leads out or follows, is not buddy sour. He goes through water, over bridges, past cars and barking dogs, etc.. like a pro. (with only the above mentioned training....). He is confident naturally.. not spooky, no desensitizing necessary.

Not only is his temperament incredible.. but his gait is flawless (and I'm very picky about gaits). I favor a naturally smooth even gait, which is more like a running walk than a true foxtrot. Nozer can do both, but the running walk is his natural way of going without any effort or knowledge on the riders part, and boy is it smooth!! You can see a TINY bit of his gait at the end of the video.

Ok, Enough Words, Enjoy the show!

  • U suck at riding that horse that horse is ugly

  • @foxtrotterhorseman erm ur a retard im fucking 15 and y did she sell the fucking pony! its prob in a slaughterhouse now being consumed by some fat chinese guy! think of the truth!

  • @cmccormmach

To assume the horse is dangerous without actually knowing him just because he is a stallion is also idiotic. I have worked with hundreds of stallions and most would be unsafe in this situation, but not all. :)

  • @StarHorseLover1

Most stallions would be dangerous for a kid, but there are always exceptions. I have been training horses of many breeds professionally for over 25 years and watching this one I see no signs of him being dangerous to the child. I still would not put a child on him while mares or new horses enter the arena, but the mother seems to have the area isolated. Don't judge too quickly without actually being there and knowing the horse. :)

  • @horsesrme12123

You may have a point that the child does not yet know much about horses and riding correctly, but the horse is a gentle and patient animal and the mother is teaching her just fine. It is silly to think her little "smacks" hurt him. Have you never seen horses interact with each other? Most offensive is your low life rudeness. Go back to your beers and get drunk you dirt bag. :)

  • @HeatherLJackson no offense but she doesnt no how to be nice to a fucking horse i was fucking always good to horses now they dont deserve little 6 year olds smaking them and yelling "WOAH" u have no idea bout horses and ur pony she had was prob sold to slaughter, nice eh. ITS REALITY! KEEP ALL UR FUCKING HORSES U GET!

  • okay. why would you put a little kid on a young horse? and especially why would you put them on a stallion???!!!

  • bor its very cute:D

  • Placing a six year old child on a green broke stallion is idiocy beyond belief!

  • Thats a beutiful horse
