The Four Seasons - Nancy's Trampoline (NOT the Frankie Valli group)

The Original Four Seasons
This Four Seasons group formed at Baldwin High School in Pittsburgh in 1959. The group consisted of :
Don Fanzo - bass
Danny McGinnis - lead
Bill Stammer - 1st tenor
Chet Mertz - 2nd tenor
The group came to New York City to record for Bill Lawrence, owner of the Alanna record label. As they were walking to the studio with their arranger, Lenny Martin (the same Lenny Martin who arranged for the Skyliners), they went past the world-famous Four Seasons Restaurant. Lenny said that should be the name of the group & so it was!
The group recorded three 45rpm records:
'Don't Sweat It Baby' b/w 'That's the Way the Ball Bounces' 1959 - Alanna #555
'Love Knows No Season' b/w 'Hot Water Bottle' 1960 - Alanna #558
'Mirage' b/w 'Nancy's Trampoline' 1960 - Robbee #106
