After that, Lee totally outclassed, and outflanked, each General sent against him, including Grant, but by then Lee could not get replacements and Grant could: how convenient to thrust poor Irish and German immigrants to the front lines for citizenship!

I'm gonna put it in simple words the North was fighting for a good cause and the south was fighting for an evil cause (slavery) the Confederates were pretty much just like the KKK. Thats what the Union understood, how it was wrong. And if youre smart slavery is evil, it's not all goody-goody. No one is born naturally hating a group of people it's taught and passed down through the family.

@Warcorpse666 Actually while yes the south fired the first shots the north were technically in Southern Territory, because they had seceded from the North and were therefore a different nation, the north had no right to still be in fort Sumter. The South sent three aides to allow the Union troops to surrender the fort and leave peacefully. They refused, and so they were foreign invaders, so they had every right to fire upon Fort Sumter.

Yep, all those things that the north had and it still took you 4 years. Btw, the fact that you had "crap commanders" has nothing to do with it. You had twice as many men, at least a hundred times more production power, and you had BLOCKADED the South. The only way to lose such a war is to march your men off of cliffs.
