Heck, sorry for the difference in the actual video title and the title INSIDE the video, both the titles mean the same thing anyway.

This video shows you how to make rounded dreadlock ends by using a crochet hook. Besides that, it also explains (look hard!) how to use the crochet hook and how to jab it into and out of your dread.

This method involves folding the last bit of the dreadlock back onto itself, and then crocheting it into the dread to ensure that is doesn't come off.

Using the crocheting needle to tighten the dread is one of the best ways as it involves pulling the hair across each other, criss-crossing, and tangling them in the process.

  • hello, i was wondering, how long do u have to wait before u can fix the ends? my dreads are pretty new, got them last thursday and the ends are terrible because when i backcomb them there is always some hair at the ends that wont dread,

  • Hmm, probably wait for a month or 2 till everything settles down.

  • What age are your dreads at in this video?

How long did it take them to mature?

Did you do them yourself or have them done professionally?

Sorry for all the questions, I'm getting my dreads in 8 days and I'm having friends do them so I'm really worried about them looking bad haha.

Thanks for the video, I'll definitely be doing this!

  • In this video? Probably about 1 year old. Done by a dude, not really pro though. Mature wise, about 3 months I shall say.

  • My dreads were around 16 months old I think, took around 3 months to mature. Done by some dude, not so pro though.

  • Excellent video! My girlfriend's dreads need some TLC as they have wispy ends. She has painful joints so she can't hold her arms up long enough to do this herself, so now I know how to do this for her. Nice one, thanks :)
