The mystery of styrofoam packing peanuts is revealed in this shocking episode demonstrating.... hmm, well it demonstrates cool stuff. After all, if you can't dissolve packing peanuts when you feel like it, what's the point of science anyway?

  • Measuring solid volume in milliliters? Really?

  • @ScienceHideout I wasn't measuring a true volume because I wasn't measuring a solid. However, the markings served as a handy guide for change.

  • Wait how are the newer type of peanuts better for you?

  • The newer peanuts are made of corn starch which decomposes easily. You can even eat them (but they taste bland! Uggh.)

However, I highly recommend you DON'T eat them, you don't know what they were packed with... not very clean and all that.

  • um i saw the goop curve whene you were playing with it

  • I'm not sure what you're saying... the "goop" curved?
