@KittixReddie just go back and re-think your statement
if i went in to save a bird, the killer bird would have nothing to eat or feed it's young, now have a real think there and get back to which bird I saved
i'm really surprised how many people forget this is nature at work, circle of life stuff, birds can't go to the supermarket to buy pre-killed meals to eat

I want ti say that it's a peregrine falcon, but I'm not sure if that species lives in Australia. It's either some kind of Kite Species or it's some kind of falcon since both types of raptors feed on other birds.

@bigstupidjellyfish18 there r species that kill other smaller birds, sometimes they do it in mid flight
