I had the privilege of meeting and chatting with him at Ucon at Uconn, a small anime/game convention. When it was my turn to get his autograph i went speechless and i didnt know what to say. It was just too much. I have never gone fanboy as much as i did. He is the inspiration for why ive been doing vlogs. I dont expect to be featured on his site, or even try to make people laugh with outlandish videos, im just trying to show the world and how i see things from my point of view.

Doug, i can not thank you enough for your words and your kindness you have shown me and the rest of your fans!

  • i could not believe that, i was really mad when the print was lost in the mail, i emailed the person in charge of the store, he said there was nothing that could be done about it and that i should take it up with my mail carrier.

i was going to reorder it at a later time but then i found out about this con and i jumped at the opportunity to go.

it was just amazing, how humble Doug was, i did not expect that from someone who is known on the internet, just a really nice guy he is

  • Cool story, that was very nice of Doug.

I also met Doug at the U-Con convention. Me and my friends talked with him on Friday (nobody was around him, we got lucky) and got a pic and autograph from him Saturday. He couldn't have been any nicer to us, he was just an awesome, down to earth guy.

I also told him I did a 5 second movie of Super Mario Bros. for the hell of it. Doug got a laugh out of it, then he tells me he saw it on youtube. I was just shocked but pleasantly surprised that he saw it.

  • oh man, i really agree. of the internet icons i want to meet, he was at the top of my list, and getting this chance was just amazing.

  • Yeah, U-Con was amazing. The convention was small, but it was still just a privelage to be meeting one of my all-time favorite internet icons and role models. Cheers!
