  • who owns this bird?

  • @SgtGrant23 it's owned by the Navy historic flight at HMAS Albatross. There is talk of the historic flight being shut down soon as a result of no more funding from the Navy, so not to sure what will be done with it after that.

  • Very nice:0)

  • Thanx mate

  • When will this aircraft fly again?

  • Not to sure anymore mate due to everything changing at historic flight, but they r still working on it and they run it a few tims a week so we'll have to wait and see. Thanx for watching and i hope u liked it.

  • The Trader/Tracker has 8 wedge shaped protrusions on the nose landing gear strut door. Does anyone know the purpose of these metal wedges?

    Thank you!!!

  • I worked on them in the U.S. Navy. My picture was taken for "Naval Aviation News" doing the eternal job of cowling dzus fasteners in Aug . of 77, on the very last one to leave NAS Norfolk, Va. I also worked on the stations T-28s. My Dad was also in the Navy and was an Aircrewman on elint aircraft, such as the Martin Mercator, Lockheed EC-121 , and first Lockheed EP-3A. I retired from the Navy in 1990, and work for the Coast Guard on H-60 rescue helicopters.

  • If these guys are looking for other trackers or parts thereof, there is a hanger full of them at West Sale airport, they are formally of the R.A.N. they have been sitting there since the mid 90's, and i have since found out that they are for sale,I would love to see them either restored or salvaged to repair others, would be a shame to see them go to scrap. you can contact the owner by email,

  • used to work on these in USN good to hear those motors run again

  • Good video cheers!
