Here is a song that originated from the jingle for a "patent medicine", HADACOL. Very popular in the dry counties of the south because the "dietary supplement" contained 12% alcohol as a "preservative". Apparently, there were places you could go, "health bars" I guess you could call them, where this tonic was offered in shot glasses. There is a pretty interesting article about this in WIKIPEDIA.
