  • youre really teaching people to weld downhill?

  • Yes. There is an entire world of downhill welding called Pipeline among other areas where this is used and if you can't weld downhill you walk.

  • I don't speak a lick of spanish.

  • This is downhill with a fast freeze rod. There isn't enough slag on the stop to worry about.

  • It isn't the easiest weld with the camera on your mind while you are rolling the spool piece that has odd ball weight to it with the left hand and welding with the right hand.

I hear you my friend. Thanks for not being too critical of me as some have been.

  • Need something fixed position please, this doesn't teach people what they really need to know. 5G or 6G fixed, any videos out there of this. Seems to be where im struggling, CWI doesnt take too kindly to rolling it in a stand.

  • I want to say thanks for the video. I have seen comments about downhill welding but you can't always roll the pipe. For instance building a roll cage for a race car. Trust me it took a while for me to get a good bead on the bottoms so I commend your skills.

  • downhill wilding is no good..

  • downhill wilding is no good..

  • @Hjefv Was that aimed at me:)?? All I said was the truth. AWS CWI, NDT LVL II, Multiple structural and pipe certs, Union welding foreman, commercial diver/ underwater welder. Cant fake it in my field:) Downhill is fine, but there is a technique to it.

  • @saultman Did you get it sir?

  • @worrior05 A few years ago I was on a Job with a Lead man who had flown in from out of town to supposedly run the job I was on. This guy told me everything about welding, from codes, good weld temperatures for certain positions, how to do this, and how to do that. When it came down to it, this guy could not weld to save his life. In the end my Head Foreman let his ass go. In my years of welding I have encountered too many fake welders. For your sake, I hope you are not like this.
