On Saturday, the storied colossal Aztec Stadium secured a chapter in Mormon history. Some 87,000 people squeezed into the open-air stadium to hear counsel from church President Thomas S. Monson and enjoy a Mexican cultural event that boasted a cast of more than 8,000 youths. It was perhaps the largest gathering to ever listen to an LDS president in person.

Meanwhile, with its sheer size and attendance, the event doubled as a reminder of the church's strength in Mexico. A few years ago, Mexico became the first nation outside the United States to past the million-member mark.

The Saints of Mexico City rededicated their temple to the Most High God. Before doing so they had a jubilation of Biblical propositions. Part of this jubilation was recognizing and praising the missionaries who have served in the area and have served from the area and are currently now serving.

this display of love for the missionary work of The Church of Jesus Christ, was one of the most endearing and out pouring of heartfelt gratitude every witnessed in this dispensation. We thank you Mexico City Saints for your examples and dedication to spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ and praising His servants who are called to do this Holy work.

So we join with you with tears of joy, and hearts full of gratitude as we sing Called to Serve Him.

" 18 For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened by the Spirit:
19 By which also he went and preached unto the spirits in prison;
20 Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water"

For for this cause was the gospel preached also to them that are dead, that they might be judged according to men in the flesh, but live according to God in the spirit. (1 Peter 4:6.)

  • 1 Peter 4:6 says absolutely nothing that you just wrote that it says. How can you lie like that. No wonder the deception continues, you lie without any guilt.

    There are no scriptures that support your false claims of sending missionaries to hell to redeem the damned.

    Yes, every knee shall bow and say Jesus is Lord because he is God and all will know, but not all will be saved come judgment day. Read the Bible only, and not doctrine and covenants written by blind men and deceived minds.

  • @manderbos I want you to know that God loves you.

  • @MormonsLoveFamilies I know, and he loves you and everyone too. But what does that have to do with Mormon doctrine, nothing. I love Mormons but I hate the false teachings and doctrines. I have family member who are LDS and I know from years of study just what it is that they believe. There is a spirit of deception on the minds of Mormons, and that is why they cannot see, that they have believed a different gospel message. It sounds good on the surface, but oh the lies that is within it.

  • @manderbos God still loves you.

  • we are greatful for rightous men but we serve GOD ONLY...

  • @davidchandler101 Don't we also serve our fellow man?
