@marismoristyle I was considering that... My friend's mom sews a lot, I was considering asking her about it too, so she can see it in person and such, as opposed to explianing it over the internet.
Thanks for replying btw, I hate when I ask questions and never get an answer XD

@IthinkIneedAhug I am no prof either, or know exactly what you mean. but wouldn't it be an idea to pull that elastic thread out the dress so it'll become loose and then shir that part again. But you have to do it properly in a straight line or you'll see the holes where the thread was stitched the first time i think >_< also make sure to find a way to not sew the front and the back to each other ;) did this help you?

I have a question, I have this dress, that has the elastic thread shirring all the way around the bust. On one side, the elastic came out of the seam I guess? And isn't shirred in that area anymore. Do you know how I could fix this?
I'm not really that great at sewing and I'm considering taking it to a professional so I don't screw it up XD Because I really love this dress.

you inspire me so much! I want to make my own clothes for so long! If I find a nice peace of fabric, I try something out using your tutorials.

I am a person who really really really wants to be a fashion designer when i get older adn i have tryed to sew and use elastic but i havent had much success, watching this video gave me hope in my mind and heart that i can do it and all i need to do is just work at it to accomplish. Thankyou very very much .
Have any of your garments ever fallen apart because of bad sewing or something??

@rastagirl194 I go to school where I am taught nothing but perfection. if you sew following ready to wear rules it holds up just as well and sometimes even better than what you buy at the store. Sometimes I get a bit annoyed with "DIY" get's correlated with bad quality.

Do you back stitch when shirring?
XpoldingToast 1 month ago
@XpoldingToast normally you just sew in a loop and sew over the start about 4-5 stitches..if you don't loop around...you will have to back stitch once or twice....sometimes I don't..I take it out and I hand tie for a nicer look.
