Hmoob Hmong early modern music. Oldies of the late 70s. A sad Hmong song reminiscing old friends and past home towns, war in Laos, and the Hmong diaspora. The singer is one of Hmong's legendary early singers, Tswb Siv Yis, singing this epically poetic song with much emotion. A masterpiece about the Hmong's plight and struggle from the old world into the new. It should touch every Hmong.

Lyrics (thanks to 1000saib for writing them):

Thaum kuv rov nco txog__________tej qub zog thaum i

  • This is my dad, he is a good man. He raised us.. he's also innocent.. so if you have anything to say he is out and doing well... thank you

  • @ChinkyGorillaz

Good to know that your dad is doing great. He is too good of a poet/singer and I know he is a very honorable guy. People will talk bad about other people here but we don''t pay attention to the negative stuff and don't believe it.

  • @abvaj217...no problem. Here is a link to the site where I got the lyrics from. He man seen here is the original composer of this song...and the original title of this song is "Nco Tej Qub Zog" which he translated from a French song and he also added some of his own words into it. Somehow I could paste the link, but you can goodle "Hmoob Npam Naj Xees" from the Hmong Catholic Forum.

  • @1000saib

Thanks too. Now I can use the lyrics in the description.

  • Very touching, a very true part of Hmong people not to forget but please look forward to a proud future which soon become a proud history of the Hmong's generations to come

  • @mentho44 I have to say that this song very nice but also very easy to be confused as far as the singer being a guy or a girl

  • @911XFILE Yes I agree it was a PEACEFUL LIFE and no amount of blood or money can't get it back but REMEMBER, IT'S NOT OURS. The name of the country is call Laos not Hmong, yes it was a peaceful life that much loved by the Hmong people

  • @tamiher01 , I totally agree here sad history. missing some words/lyrics though. The old place where they used to live now only occupy by a few Lao villagers, if you go back to same place, can't find a hmong soul.

  • I listening to this song when i was a little kid... in refugee camp. i'm glad he is out? what ever that means...where is he living these days???

  • This video makes me sad...but I love it!

  • @tamiher01 These are 8mm CIA footages that was collected.
