The operation of railroad signaling system is not so easy because many signals related to a traffic route must be, at least, simultaneously operated. PC softwares, such as Railroad and Co, JMRI and so on, will be convenient to do that. Instead of PC softwares, this DCC control unit was developed to easily operate the signaling system, which is connected to usual DCC command station via Loconet. How to assemble this control unit is shown on my web site (now, only in Japanese).
Scene 1: Occupancy detection monitor unit. Digitrax BDL168s mounted on the n-scale layout (and also homemade detection units) can be monitored on LEDs on the control board.
Scene 2: By pushing a button on the control board, signals can be remotely operated. When a traffic route is selected, in addition to the turnout operations, all signals conflicting to the route are automatically set to be Red. All confliction relations are memorized on the control unit.
Scene 3: High speed diverging signal aspects (Y/FG and R/FG) for Union Pacific RR's signaling system are shown.
