'PROPER BINGE', explores the life of an alcoholic, Burgess Zwink, striving for sobriety after a drunken mishap threatens his best friend's life and his family's love for him...


1964 Motion Pictures is a team of dedicated Alaskan filmmakers, led by Dean Q. Mitchell and Michael Burns.


They've come together to achieve the mutual dream of writing, producing, directing and editing a feature film in Alaska and upon completion, entering their finished product into well-known and respected film festivals with the intention of having 'PROPER BINGE' distributed globally.

'PROPER BINGE' is a feature-length film that will serve several purposes: to bring film production revenues to Alaska, to employ local production cast and crew, and to make historical landmarks out of existing businesses and locations, potentially bringing a larger tourist trade to the Mat-Su.


Unlike filmmakers from the 'lower 48', our objective is to give movie goers, worldwide, an accurate depiction of our home state. We will not misrepresent or distort any element of Alaska. The characters in this story also represent a faction of this small community. We have all probably known folks just like them over the years. This is a collaborative effort with all local talent representing true Alaska.

Funding is, as always, the 'do or die' part of a project. To ensure the quality of the production and give every opportunity for the eventual success of 'PROPER BINGE' we need financial backing. We're seeking your help. The more money we raise, the more we will be capable of. Help us establish a solid base for an Alaskan film industry.


When you donate to the project, your name will appear in the scrolling end credits of 'PROPER BINGE'. When you invest in the project, $1000.00 or more, you will not only see your name in the credits but, since the tax credits from our state have been substantially increased, 30 to 44% of your money will be returned to you. However, we're aiming to get 100% of your money back to you... and then some.
