Do you know how many times I have watched this! I mean the original scene just doesn't do it for me anymore. When I was watching this I thought I wonder what they are going to do differently in this scene and when Unit One got back up and showed Zeruel what a real AT field looks like I think I shit myself. On top of that he turned the AT field into a arm! I WAS FUCKING DONE!!! GAINAX YOU MIND FUCKED ME ON THAT ONE LOL!

The batteries last 5 minutes at normal combat levels, 1 minute at the Eva's full power.

Then again, the Eva's don't actually NEED the batteries to operate...

I feel like they aren't consistent as to how long those batteries last; some scenes have the evas doing stuff, but having 5 minutes, others give them 1. Is it just a rule of dramatic tension?
