I have not seen the film yet, but I WIll See it as soon as can. The question I have about the story and history relates to how John Surratt escaped via the Jesuit priests through a rat run into Canada, and was discovered hiding behind the Pope at the Vatican. When identified and returned for trial, a Sgt. Dye identified Surratt as the timekeeper outside the door at Ford's Theater, so he WAS DIRECTLY involved in the murder. Mr. Redford, we have a screen play for you! It is a family movie, about a salty sea captain that has to suffer the indignity of manning a cruise ship in order to fulfill his long overdue Icelandic mission that turns out to BE his path for realizing, THAT, which IS, enlightenment.
