If you are going to shred tires I would recommend a system like Eco Green Equipment's Tire Shredder. They are western quality at Chinese Prices.

the notches are to large. instead of them being huge like that, make them the size of SSI's shredders

I'll bet the owner found there was something wrong with this unit . These Extec shredders employ around 500hp and I'm seeing less that 140 effective power there.

It needs a cutter ever three shredders or so, in order to stop it from getting jammed .
