@antimental My friend met Matthew Sweet back in the '90s after a sound check at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. She said Matthew and his band were super nice.

@antimental Just shows the difference between my first-hand experience and your second-hand hearsay. I complimented the man on his last performance in town to which he replied "whatever". The mans appearance reflects his self-absorbed, egotistical outlook. I was a fan, then I met the creep. So you can keep your suppositions to yourself as will I.

I shouldn't even be commenting on the dregs of the internet here at YT, but this is typical of our culture, people ragging on matthew's looks. no wonder the world is fucked up when no one can see beyond the surface of anyone. if you're not a stick thin woman with +2's or a roided up muscled up guy, then you're worthless, am i rite? you're all a bunch of idiots. music comments is one thing but looks should be off limits. to me, his music is beautiful and therefore he is beautiful.
