Traditional church teaches that Bible translations are pretty much the same, that they are the "word of God." This is utterly false. Gary Amirault with Tentmaker Ministries compares some Bible translations proving there are MAJOR differences which affect how we view God and His plan of salvation. Study to show yourself approved!

  • Tentmakers underlying agenda smells like that of those who so minimize one aspect of the scriptures (in this case a literal hell) so as to sabatoge the concept of Jesus being Messiah . Its an indirect and more subtle approach at refuting our need for a Savior, or the rightful fear of consequences for those who do evil, or our own accountability for our behavior before God Holy Spirit....

  • @katzndogs1 And your agenda seems to be to hold people in fear. "Perfect love casts out fear." May God perfect His love in you katrzndogs so that you may have the peace that passes all understanding so that your life no longer is a fight between cats and dogs; that the wolf may lie down with the lamb. Peace to your tormented soul.

  • I have a NIV from International Bible society , printed in Great Britan. Is that one also poisonus? I thought that this one was translated by spritfilled christians.

  • my new norwegian"official"bible released oct 2011 has "helvete"when gehenna is mentioned, which comes from norse mythology(hel=goddes off netherworld, vete=vitti, from old norse and means punish, mixing Jesus teaching with norse mythology?its horrible, aion and aionios is translated eternal, world, forever,

  • Whatever word we use to describe that Godless place where Satan ends up doesn't make it any more or less unbelievably terrible, so I hope nobody thinks that they'll escape it if they don't turn to Jesus Christ, repent for their sins and get born anew in the Holy Spirit. The wrath of God and His Judgement comes upon the wicked,,, and if we don't go to Heaven where God is then we'll end up in that place where God isn't,, and I've seen enough to know that such a terrible and horrific place exists..

Understand the heads of Newcorp are VERY interested in influencing the world, to have control of the leading selling Bible AND a very large "Christian" publishing company is VERY influential in a very importan aspect of world view. These corporate heads are screwed, their love is for profit and control. It is NOT the spirit of Christ, just the opposite.

  • @2bornot2b1984

No, there is no leap of faith. I used to be in the advertising business and I know a little about what's going on in the NIV. When the king of sleeze and sensationalism takes control of the leading selling Bible and Bible reference material, you can bet his world view will filter into the company and its products. And i am sticking to things I can prove.

When I asked if you are suggesting he also affected the "Satanic Bible", that was rhetorical, my point was if the guy "fudged" with the NIV, than logic would dictate he fudged the Satanic Bible also, because the Satanic Bible certainly isn't Jewish.

If he is a true Jew, he wouldnt do what you suggested.

Also remember there are people claiming to be Jewish who are actually occult practitioners. I think that would be a more likely speculation, if one is to start speculating.

  • This was making a lot of sense up until the notion that the Jewish head of newscorp would have an interest in "fudging" the Bible.

If in fact he was a devout Jew, and if in fact he had an interest in affecting the published Bible, he would want to eliminate Jesus from the equation all together.

Are you suggesting he also affected the Satanic Bible? You are making a leap in logic there.

I would stick to things you can prove.
