Classic Game Room dusts off their figure skating skates, and not just to stab people, to play hockey! This is the legendary Classic Game Room review of NHL 2K for the Sega Dreamcast video game console recorded back in the year 2000! Play as the Pittsburgh Penguins, Winnpig Jets or Hartford Whalers and kick some ice cold ones down while playing on the DC controller! Molson, Labatts... whatever. It's beer. And hockey! And beer and hockey go together like ale and Classic Game Room. This is a really cool and highly underrated hockey video game that came out for the short lived Sega Dreamcast. It wasn't an EA hockey game so it didn't get the attention it deserved, and maybe it deserved it. Gameplay was a bit short of the Electronic Arts games but the features and graphics of NHL 2K were way ahead of their time. Create your own character, play with all the teams in the NHL (many of which were long gone in 2000) and design your own characters like Colt 45 and Mario Lemiux. This is a rare CGR review of a sports game too, this doesn't happen often. Classic Game Room is the ultimate video game review show on the Internet and may also be the longest lasting, from 1999 to 2008 and still running strong. CGR in the house, the IGLOO that is! Is this the best hockey video game ever made?? Watch the review and decide. If you want to play it this game might cost you $1 today. Watch the footage and gameplay.

  • wow looks better than 2k10 graphics

  • Sega Dreamcast had it all, I wish Sega was still in the market. I loved the DreamCast, but to bad it got destroyed by the ps2 which i did buy since they stopped supporting the Dreamcast.

Dreamcast's problems back in 2000 was it's popularity, and ps2. Not enough popularity for it, EA didn't want to support it. Then the ps2 owned the Dreamcast cause it had a dvd player, which most people back then couldn't afford.

I bet if the dreamcast had a dvd built it, and more support, it could of won

  • @gtafanboy32 Not really. They are having the Jets alright, but the completely different Jets. The other Jets are still in Phoenix, AZ as the Coyotes
