Sun Tzu would facepalm at the English efforts at Stirling Bridge

@MrHirosaki I have read "The Art of War". It was pretty good. Plus I never implied he was a humanist. That was my opinion. But I do believe that he said that because if you lose a lot of soldiers in war, you might not have enough to survive the next battle. If you can preserve an army by winning without fighting, there's a better chance of winning the war.

@1ManRandom I think he means that war is expensive I dont think he was a humanist, he was just practical. In his time cruelty was something you faced in everysingle battlefield and have you read "his" book? Killing is almost like routine thing in it :P

@yo09ify That was a quote by Sun Tzu I believe, or close to it. What he is trying to say is that if you can win a conflict without resorting to bloodshed you are truly genius. Any man can order a military, if you are truly excellent you won't have to resort to tearing their guts out. War may look cool in movies, but in reality it is a waste of human life. Even if ripping out their guts is more epic, winning without having to fight is ingenious.

I bit the bullet and bought their CDs.
Supreme excellence comes from winning without having to fight.

Wasn't that fire arrow attack used by Sun Tzu too? Irony much?
