before coming here i had no idea about the arguement over poisons gender

now i can say this fight is between 1) people who think that its nice to have a bit of variety and backstory and have a character who isnt just another scantily clad woman and 2) guys who find poison hot but then feel guilty and unsure of their sexuality and hate on the people who says shes a transsexual

i like the idea of her being a transsexual. maybe cause it adds difference or maybe cause i am one myself i cant say

Its cool to see times are changing. Not only are games becoming challenging, they're even challenging perceptions of gender. I read up Yoshiro Ono's interview regarding Posion & he admits that there was a backlash from U.S audiences regarding the fact that the two female characters in Final Fight could get hit. So they decided to change Poisons character from girl, to 'transvestite' which to those of you who dont know, is a boy who wears female clothing. In Japan however, Poison is a transsexual

@GeeGamerz its between poision if she is really a boy or a girl. she started out at as a girl in a game call final fight but I think some dumbass people had problem about fighting women in a (GAME) so now they are trying to say she is a guy just because of that.

'we dont care about the gender of poison and about stupid facts'. look, even i think its dumb, but its THEIR character, THEIR choice who Poison is. Even if its dumb, you cant ignore facts, even if its dumb. I just want people to accept it. its okay wanting her to be a girl, but you shouldn't lie to yourself about it. As long as people know her true standing, than its fine to think of her as a woman if your aware of her being male. look, we got the internet, its called Rule 63.

ok I will tell yu about poison so every idiot who say she is a guy can STFU .In Japan the game Final Fight had 2 WOMEN henchmen for you to beat up one of them being Poison.But then the japaneese desided to say they are travestites cuz they knew how the US would feel about hitting women in a video game "concerns about reactions from North American audiences to fighting women resulted in the character being changed to a newhalf." there you go idiots she is a girl .
