In cloverfield the monster throughout is the baby and the monster at the end who eat the camera guy is the mother lookin for her baby, and the 2nd film might be a prequal which is underwater. Cause if you look at the end of the film when they are on that ride you can see a satellite falling out of the sky and that is what wakes the monster up. That's what I think anyway!
