We have some good singers today but we had some great singers in the 60's maureen was one of them.

@lillysgirl2007 I am 64 years old now. But that song brings back so many old memories. 1964 was a long time ago. And two years later I was in the Army and headed to Vietnam. Seems like that war changed everything......especially for me.

It always seams to me that all the female singers of the sixties COULD sing!
The female singers today try vocal gymnastics but miss the point of actually carrying a tune.
And where do you get to hear sweet sounding backing singers today?

@wareidav Rant welcome, I was doing the same myself watching X-factor singing for which winning seems to consist of singing the loudest in the most affected gospel style.
